Contemplation I
Contemplation I - Bronze, April 2018
Contemplation I continued my fascination with exploring ‘vessels’ within the natural world. It is based on a small piece of dried seed pod which I was unable to identify as it came from a pot pourri. Two similar fragments inspired Contemplation II and III.
The piece is solid Bronze with a turquoise patina on a wooden base and was originally cast at the McKinney Fine Art Foundry but edition numbers 3 onwards have been cast by Gus Farnes of Creative Construct.xyz. It measures approximately 25cm H, 15cm D and 20cm W, including the base. It is available to buy in a limited edition of 9 (7 available) from myself or the Laura Weekes Gallery in Holt, North Norfolk. Please note the patina finish and colour may differ slightly from the one shown.
