Contemplation II - Bronze, September 2018
Contemplation II is the second in a series of three pieces based on the twists and turns of a small piece of dried seed pod, and part of my exploration of aspects of ‘vessels’ within the natural world.
The piece is solid bronze with a green patina, mounted on a wooden base, and was originally cast at the McKinney Fine Art Foundry but edition numbers 2 onwards have been cast by Gus Farnes of Creative Construct.xyz. It measures approximately 30cm H, 20cm D and 26cm W, including the base. It is available to buy in a limited edition of 9 (7 available) from myself or the Laura Weekes Gallery in Holt, North Norfolk.
