Contemplation III - Bronze, November 2018
Contemplation III is the last in a series of three pieces capturing the twists and turns of a small piece of dried seed pod, and part of an exploration of aspects of ‘vessels’ within the natural world.
The piece is solid bronze with a mottled blue patina, mounted on a wooden base, and was originally cast at the McKinney Fine Art Foundry but edition numbers 2 onwards have been cast by Gus Farnes of Creative Construct.xyz. It measures approximately 36cm H, 18cm D and 20cm W, including the base. It is available to buy in a limited edition of 9 (6 available) from myself or the Laura Weekes Gallery in Holt, North Norfolk. Please note the patina finish and colour may be slightly different to the one shown.
